Nandi hills are about 50km from the airport road on the Hebbal flyover. It is preferred to leave for Nandi hills early in the morning because the journey of the trip is equally important as the destination. The sunrise welcomes you with a smile with hills top in the white clouds.

Tipu’s drop is a cliff that faces at a height of 600 metres on Nandi hills. This place holds a panoramic view of the city from Tipu’s drop. Tipu’s drop holds historical significance. As per history, prisoners were forced down this cliff to their depth on windy nights. 


Nandi temple is located near the peak of Nandi, where you can walk easily. Don’t get confused between Bhoga Nandeeshwaratemple and Yoga Nandeeshwara temple because both are places in the same area. 


Muddenahalli is popular for its major attractions like Anjaneya temple, Bhoga Nandeeshwara temple, and Bananthi Bande. Muddenahalli is 19 km away from Nandi hills. This is a small village in Karnataka. There is a wide collection of writings, paintings, and photographs belonging to M.Visvesvaraya. The best time is between October to June to visit this place. during the peak, in summer don’t forget to carry your water bottle.


Brahmaashram is located near to Nandi hills. Brahma Ashram is a beautiful cave that is popular among the devotees of Goddess Kali. It is said that Saint Ramakrishna Paramhansa used to meditate here. Brahmashram is made of natural boulders which are a famous pilgrimage among tourists. This unique structure is worth visiting. 


Bhoga Nandeeshwara temple is one of the beautiful attractions in the Nandi hills. This is one of the oldest temples in Karnataka which was built in the 9th century. This temple features the Dravidian style. This temple remains open from 6 am to 7 in the evenings.  This temple is a must-visit temple during the Mahashivratri. 

Once you choose to take a trip in Nandi hills you can possibly see the new places and people that you would not normally see when simply walking to these places. When you visit this temple just remember to follow the local norms and watch the locals.


This Amrita Sarovar was formed by Perennial springs. Amrita Sarovar is a lake that is a major source of water supply in the entire region. If you are a nature lover, then this Sarovar should be on the list of visited places. These beautiful lakes look stunning under the starlit sky. This lake remains filled throughout the year. The grand steps leading to the well would make this trip a backdrop for pictures.


Tipu’s residence was commenced by Haider Ali. This residence was completed during the reign of the Tipu sultan in 1791. This residence is also popular as Tashk e Jannat which means envy of heaven.

Tipu’s residence is 63 km away from Nandi hills which features curves and arches with pillars.

Tipu’s residence remains open from 5 am to 6 pm.
